What should I engrave on my Medical ID Tag?
Chic Alert Medical ID recommends that you consult your primary physician or health care provider on what they think is important to be engraved on your medical ID tag. Typically information includes, Name, Medical Condition and Contact information.

Who should wear an ID?
If you have a chronic disease, medical condition, an allergy or take a pharmaceutical drug that could threaten your life it is highly recommended that you wear some form of medical ID jewelry to communicate your message. How do I determine the correct Bracelet Size?
Please refer to our Basic Sizing Guide for Help. Use the information and charts found here for help. Sizing Help.



What if my tag/charm has an engraving error?

Please let us know immediately, and we will send out a replacement tag/charm if we have made an error. Chic Alert Medical ID is not responsible for orders submitted incorrectly.

What if I decide I want Chic Alert Medical ID to engrave my ID after all?
No problem. Please contact us at info@chicalertmedid.com and let us know. We will provide you with instructions for sending the item to us for engraving.



How long will it take for me to receive my jewelry?

Please allow 1-2 weeks to receive your custom-engraved order. All other non-personalized orders ship in 1-2 days. Processing times may be delayed during Holidays. Shipping typically takes 1-3 days, but is dependent on delivery location.

I am a Healthcare professional, Can I get Brochures to pass along to my patients?
Of Course! Please contact us at info@chicalertmedid.com to request Brochures. We would be thrilled to have your help in spreading the word about Chic Alert Medical ID.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Master Card and American Express. We also have the ability to take payments via PayPal.

Do you charge sales tax?
Sales Tax of 8.875% will only be charged to orders shipping to New York

How can I track my Order?
You will receive an order confirmation once your order has been successfully transmitted. In addition, a shipping confirmation e-mail will be sent once your order has been shipped. This confirmation will include the tracking number for your package. You may check the status of your order at anytime by logging into your account.

Can I modify my order?
Please be advised that once an order has been placed we are unable to make any modifications to the order including cancellations.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship world-wide.

Can I send as a gift?
Of Course! All orders are shipped in a beautiful pouch & gift box. We will include a gift message providing you select this option at the time of purchase.

How much is shipping?
Shipping costs vary on delivery location, and package weight. Shipping Costs can be reviewed during the checkout process.

Is your jewelry guaranteed?
Yes! Our products come with a 6 month guarantee from the date of purchase. We guarantee against defects in workmanship or materials under normal use only. We do not cover loss or wear & tear. Visit Customer Service to see more on our Limited Warranty.

Where do I send my jewelry for repair?
Please email us at info@chicalertmedid.com to request a Repair Authorization Number. We will then provide you the shipping address and mailing instructions.

Can I return my order?
Yes! Returns can be made within 30 days of purchase, on NON-ENGRAVED jewelry ONLY. Once an item is engraved, it is NO LONGER returnable or refundable. Exchanges may however be made for the same item in a different size, using the same engraved Medical ID Tag.For a return or exchange, contact us at info@chicalertmedid.com

How do I care for my Jewelry?
Simply clean jewelry with warm water and light hand soap, use a clean soft dry cloth to polish and clean. Never expose jewelry to harsh chemicals, household cleaners or perfumes. Any exposure voids limited warranty. When storing jewelry, do not mix gold with silver, separate the metals by compartments. Please note soft precious metals are vulnerable to scratching.

Does your Jewelry contain Nickel?
No, all of Chic Alert Medical ID's jewelry is Nickel free, Lead free & Cadmium free.

Can I wear my jewelry while bathing?
It is NOT recommend. Chic Alert Medical ID recommends taking your jewelry off prior to bathing or swimming. Excessive exposure to water, chlorine and bathing products can cause damage to your jewelry. Such damage is NOT covered under the limited warranty.

What is Silver Plated & Gold Plated jewelry?
Gold & Silver plate describes when a layer of gold or silver is mechanically bonded with heat and pressure to one or more surfaces of the supporting base metal, such as brass or zinc alloys, then rolled or drawn to a given thickness. Plating, when properly cared for will last for many years to come.

Can I be reimbursed for my Medical ID Jewelry?
Some Health Insurance plans may reimburse you for the purchase of your medical ID. Please check with your Insurance Company or health care provider for more information.

Can you engrave DNR on my ID Tag?
NO, we cannot engrave DNR/DNI on your medical bracelet. Each state has specific regulations about DNR bracelets. Please check with your Doctor as laws vary from state to state. DNR ID tags must be purchased from the designated commercial vendor in your specific state.
